Family Driven Faith - Chapter 2

A family without a commitment to the God of the Bible has not hope of stemming the tide of cultural onslaught. If we mix a little biblical truth, a little secular psychology, a little romance novel, and a little eastern mysticism, we will get a deadly mixture of lies.

Ephesians 6:1-4 parallels Moses' teaching in Deuteronomy 6.

Paul offers a blueprint for those seeking to live lives that honour God in the midst of a culture rife with paganism. From this text we learn that we must watch our walk, be good stewards of our time, understand God's will, constantly yield to God's Spirit, and order our relationships by the Book.

Watch your walk v:15-16
- more is caught than taught
- we cannot expect our children to rise above our example.

Be good stewards of the time v:17
- be there for your children
- schedule your time or loose it by putting family first

Understand God's will vs:17
- our children don't belong to us they belong to God
- don't plan your children's future God has a better plan

Constantly Yield to God's Spirit v:18
- remember God and His provision and place in our lives
- Mealtime, times of crisis, special occasions, special trips

Order your Relationships by the Book v:21
- God
- spouse
- Children
- everyone else
